Background

Since 1925, Peggy Sage has offered comprehensive ranges of nail polish, nail prosthesis products, makeup, face and body care, equipment for beauticians, and accessories. Their products serve both beauty professionals and passionate individuals who appreciate quality, variety, and innovation.

"Our customers appreciate us for several reasons: product quality. The breadth of our offering, especially the wide choice of nail polish colors. The brand universe, both professional and passionate. Our capacity to innovate, with products like Green LAK, Xpress gel," notes Peggy Sage.

However, being an established brand doesn’t shield you from the modern challenges of meeting content volume demands.

Their content production simply couldn't keep pace with their extensive product catalog, leaving them with limited product presentations that failed to showcase their innovation and variety.

The challenge: creative gridlock

Before switching to Omi, content creation at Peggy Sage was a constant struggle against limited resources.

"The main frustration was the lack of resources: we didn't always have the time or means to produce all the necessary visuals for each product," explains Peggy Sage.

These resource constraints meant creative gridlock across their entire content workflow.

They couldn't support enough visuals to properly showcase their product range. Product content creation was managed internally, each visual demanding planning, photography, retouching and internal validation.

This legacy workflow was hurting them on multiple fronts:

  • Product sheets featured only single packshots, limiting the showcasing of their ranges

  • The lack of varied visuals impacted conversion rates — with only a packshot, customers couldn’t see themselves with the products, particularly for shades or textures

  • Special features like refillable products remained hidden behind visual limitations

  • Production timelines stretched as each visual required planning, photography, retouching, and internal validation

"Products were published even without varied visuals, but this limited their impact with customers," they recall.

Partnering with Omi

The decision to adopt Omi came from a clear need: save time and improve visual quality without depending solely on their graphic design team.

"We wanted to quickly create several different photos without having to organize a physical shoot, to more easily meet the needs of our product catalog," says Peggy Sage.

The process began with Omi creating Digital Twins of Peggy Sage's product range. These photorealistic 3D models capture every detail — from the texture of nail polish bottles to the finish on packaging labels.

Digital Twins of are pixel-perfect replicas of products. These are then used in the Virtual Studio to meet high volume demands for product visuals in eCommerce, socials, product launches, and more.

These 3D models became the foundation for creating unlimited visuals in Omi's Virtual Photo Studio.

In this browser-based environment, Peggy Sage could drag-and-drop their products into scenes, adjust lighting, and generate both photos and videos from the same setup.

"The first time we used the platform, we found it super practical. We were quick to get the hang of it, as the tool is quite intuitive."

The platform’s simplicity of use and rendering quality made adoption seamless across the team.

Creative autonomy: quality, collaboration, and freedom

With Omi's Virtual Photo Studio, Peggy Sage’s production drew a breath of fresh air:

Perfect quality, instantly: "The ability to quickly and instantly create perfect quality visuals, without defects like scratches on nail polishes for example," became their favorite aspect of the platform.

Virtual Product Photography means beauty brands never have to worry about defects, scratches, fingerprints, lighting inconsistencies, or imperfections. Simply put, 3D models stay impeccable.

Collaborative creativity: "Being able to share scenes between team members is a real plus: it facilitates mutual help and collaboration," notes Peggy Sage.

The centralized image library meant everyone can retrieve and adapt visuals created by others.

Creative freedom: "We can easily create 5 to 6 photos per product, with varied staging, like making products 'levitate,' which offers more creativity and originality."

Creating templates from scenes allows Peggy Sage to quickly deploy image variants. A single product series gains extensive visual variety without the need for multiple photoshoots. This approach guarantees brand consistency, reduces production time, and helps them meet high-volume demands for product visuals.

The platform's flexibility doesn’t stop at creativity: "The ability to adjust visual dimensions makes the tool very flexible."

Improved collaboration and workflow

What started as a solution to production constraints became an integral part of Peggy Sage's daily rhythm: "The team uses Omi almost every day. Since the beginning, we have already created more than 620 visuals thanks to the platform."

Each team member now has their personal space to create the visuals they need, eliminating the bottleneck of waiting for graphic designer availability. "We can easily diversify images thanks to the large number of (3D) objects available," notes Peggy Sage. "This gives us more flexibility and diversity in the images offered, without depending solely on graphic designers."

This, combined with the ability to share scenes between team members, transformed visual content from a production bottleneck into a daily creative practice.

The centralization of images proved especially valuable: "everyone can retrieve visuals created by others and adapt them to their needs."

Perhaps most importantly, they could now clearly communicate product features that used to get lost in translation. "This also allows us to clearly explain practical features, like product refills, very useful for our customers."

With more creative freedom thanks to the Virtual Studio, Peggy Sage can better demonstrate their product refill feature.

“Omi is super practical and we recommend it”

When asked what they'd tell other companies considering Omi, Peggy Sage doesn't hesitate:

"We would tell other companies that Omi is really super practical and we recommend it without hesitation. The tool is easy to use, customer service is responsive and always there to help."

Before and after Omi

By embracing Virtual Photography with Omi as their new operations, Peggy Sage saw the changes they needed.

Before Omi:

  • Visual content production drained their resources

  • Product sheets had only one packshot, limiting eCommerce conversion potential

  • Difficulty explaining features like refillable products visually

  • Products published with limited visuals, leaving money on the table

After Omi:

  • Each team member has personal space to create needed visuals

  • 5-6 photos per product on-demand with varied, creative staging

  • Clear visual communication of practical features

  • Centralized visual library for easy collaboration

  • 620+ visuals created, significantly improving product presentation
