Jolt stopped relying on traditional product photography

Jolt, a brand specializing in muscle recovery accessories, has overhauled its product visualization process with Omi’s 3D rendering platform. By replacing limited and inconsistent visuals with high-quality 3D renders, Jolt now produces more images from more angles, reduces delays, and launches products faster while maintaining a cohesive brand presentation.

"With Omi, we show our products from all angles, which automatically reassures customers," explains Cédric Pons Polo, artistic director at JOLT, who has integrated Omi into his creative process for over a year.

Results at a glance

  • 3 weeks of gained sales when launching new massage products

  • 15 Omi visuals created per product vs. a maximum of 3 visuals previously

  • 225 Omi visuals used daily across marketing channels

  • Zero revisions needed on 3D models vs. 4-6 revisions before Omi

  • "PERFECT" rating for the overall quality of Omi's 3D renderings

  • 92% faster approval of 3D models compared to previous solutions

  • 4-8 weeks saved on 3D modeling of products

The visualization challenge

For a brand selling physical products designed for tactile experiences, visual representation is crucial for reassuring customers for the purchase decision. Cédric says that before Omi, Jolt struggled with limited visual assets:

"Whether in emails, posts, social media, or on the website, we always had the same view of the product. We were very limited in quantity: we only had 3 visuals on our website for our best-seller, the massage gun!"

This created two key problems:

  1. Customer hesitation: limited angles made it harder for buyers to trust the product. For body-focused products, customers need full confidence in what they're buying.

  2. Repetitive branding: the same images across platforms made the brand presentation feel static.

The Omi transformation: more content, less friction

Since implementing Omi, Jolt has drastically improved its visual content creation process:

"With Omi, I gained in quality while reducing the creation time and feedback loops. It couldn't be faster!"

According to Cédric, one of the most remarkable improvements has been the elimination of revision cycles:

"I don't think I've ever given Omi feedback; it's super realistic. I feel like there's never anything to say about what I receive."

This shift from requiring 4-8 rounds of feedback to approving everything on the first version has saved significant time.

Versatility across marketing channels

Jolt now creates 15 unique visuals per product (compared to just 3 before), showcasing products from multiple angles and in various contexts:

"It's really not reassuring for customers to see a product from only one angle. Now, we have about fifteen visuals for each product, from different angles."

With a bigger library of images, they could now market across more channels:

  • Website product listings

  • Instagram posts and Reels (including 360° rotations)

  • Advertising campaigns

  • Pinterest marketing

  • Email marketing

Strategic use of 3D and lifestyle photography

Rather than replacing all photography, Jolt uses Omi's 3D renders strategically alongside lifestyle imagery:

"We still need lifestyle photos to show the product in use, to see how it interacts with the skin. But for packshot visuals, which need to showcase the product in its best light, Omi's 3D is perfect."

This hybrid approach improves marketing effectiveness by:

  • Ensuring clarity in product features: 3D renders remove distractions, making details like texture and buttons more visible.

  • Creating consistency across channels: lifestyle photos add context, while 3D visuals maintain uniformity across product listings, ads, and email campaigns.

  • Improving engagement: Pinterest and Instagram campaigns benefit from the flexibility of 3D renders, allowing for creative compositions that wouldn't be feasible with traditional photography.

Gaining weeks of sales by creating promos with prototypes

One of the biggest advantages of switching to Omi has been the ability to create visuals for products still in development:

"When we released the base for our massage gun, we only had a prototype to send, not the final model, but we explained the changes to be made and Omi produced a 3D model based on that. We received the 3D version before even having the final physical product!"

This capability enables Jolt to:

  • Prepare marketing materials before final products are manufactured

  • Create product sheets and packaging inserts with 3D renders

  • Develop social media posts for product launches in advance

  • Plan email campaigns ahead of time

"I was able to gain 1 week of anticipation in my work and be ready to launch on time. Between that, and the weeks saved on modeling, the difference with our previous process is very clear."

Looking ahead

With 15 references already available on Omi and approximately 25 more to model, Jolt continues to expand its visual library. The partnership has fundamentally changed how Jolt approaches product marketing, enabling them to:

  1. Show products from all angles

  2. Demonstrate product features more effectively

  3. Create unique visuals for different marketing channels

  4. Launch products faster with pre-production visualizations

  5. Maintain consistent, high-quality visual branding

As Cédric summarizes: "Omi, for me, is a super simple 3D tool with ultra-high quality renders."
